You MUST keep the cover on and attached by the clips if you have any children or pets in the garden unattended. 

Do not attempt to close the cover if there is anyone in the pool.

The pool has one deep end – the cover end.  It is 1.8m deep.

Be careful when using the steps, especially when you first go in – air bubbles under your feet can make it slippery so take it slowly. 

Do not take any drinking glasses into the pool and do not leave them on the paving beside the pool.

Please use water resistant suncream only when using the pool – otherwise it will come off and destroy the chemical balance.

The pool is heated and has a robot which cleans daily.  When you are in the pool you can put the robot down one end and lift its long pipe up onto the side of the pool if you find it’s in the way.

Keep the cover on when not using for safety and to keep leaves and animals out; this will also help to keep the heat in and save energy. 

Please do not attempt to alter the settings on the heating unit.

Opening the cover

  • The key is in the drawer under the kettle. It has a square blue tag and a chain to make it easier to find.

  • There are 6 clips for the cover – 3 each end – which need to be undone before you attempt to open the cover (see below).

  • Then turn the key for the cover to pull back.  You can leave it to work with the key in.

Closing the cover

  • Turn the key – you have to hold it for the cover to move.  This is a safety feature so no one is caught underneath!

  • As it gets to the steps you may need to nip down to the cover there and nudge it into place so it fits into the gap at the steps.

  • Attach the 6 clips (see below).

  • Put the key back in the drawer.

To open: press the grey plastic lever (orange arrow).  This makes the plastic arms shown by the purple arrows go back into the clip unit. Then lift out the metal bolt attached to the webbing; it should pass in front of the plastic arms.

To close: Lift and push the metal bolt against the plastic arms so that it drops behind into the clip unit.  See also this diagram -
